Drom association was created in June 2001 on the initiative of Erik Marchand and Gaby Kerdoncuff and works to promote and transmit popular cultures of oral tradition and modal music.Today, the actions of the structure focus on professional training, through the modal music course Kreiz Breizh Akademi and an offer of certifying training in France and abroad, also the transmission and territorial action with interventions by musicians specializing in modal music of Brittany and moreover with the public amateurs and a research component, via a biennial symposium, a resource center of modality in collaboration with an international network of musicians and researchers.
