In the very heart of the Parc naturel des Causses du Quercy, on the last weekend of July ,the banks of the river Lot become the site of a major encounter to get to know Africa better. Around music, literature, cinema, street arts, plastic arts and traditional crafts, Africajarc draws more than 25 000 festival goers and confirms Africa's inventiveness and creativity by making the arts an essential vector towards open-mindedness and tolerance. Apart from the festival, Africajarc sponsors shows and educative happenings related to Africa in various neighboring towns and communes.
